Great saw for the price! This is a great saw for the price. I really like the fact that the blade may be adjusted at every angle. It is well bilt and rugged. It has plenty of power to do the job.

  2. Wood n Fiber

Best table saw I’ve ever owned. This is a awesome saw! Fence is dead on straight and stays that way, super easy and accurate to move with its R&P gears. 15 amps cuts thru thick PT wood like butter! Light enough to carry with one hand, but strong and study enough to rip thick full size plywood. All easy on-and off accessories, riving knife, push stick, miter slide, blade guard….. Best. Saw. Period.

GREAT table saw! Great quality for this price!Love this table saw! I checked all of the blade and saw alignments, and it was a super accurate, right out of the box. Love the foldable legs and ability to store it off to the side of my shop when not in use. The legs are super sturdy and give the saw a solid foundation that feels as good as having it mounted on a bench or stationary table.
Runs much quieter than my previous saw, and it’s a pleasure to use. The rack & pinion fence rail is sweet!
Smooth and accurate, and a big time saver when working a job that switches back and forth between different rip widths. Plenty of power for thick lumber and for mitered cuts. Wish I had made this purchase sooner!

Best Deal Around! What a great job site table saw! After comparing about every table saw on the market I can say that this little saw will take care of just about any project you may have. It’s really not that heavy and the rack and pinion saw fence is accurate and simple to use. The built-in stand works great as long as you don’t mistreat or abuse it and you can operate the saw in either position. I have ripped plywood, 2×6’s, 2×4’s and a ton of furring strips to make my own crown and base board molding as well as window and door trim which saved more than enough money to pay for the saw. The only issue I have had is when folding down one of the legs the small key that releases the leg lock broke, but Skil was super easy to order a new one and send it out to me via UPS, so customer service has been top notch. I wished I had this saw years ago.

A lightweight price for a heavyweight contender!Fantastic table saw that has no equal in its price range and punches way above it’s weight. Came already calibrated, and just WORKS. Love it when a product delivers on all its promises. Dont buy any another model in the same price range or even $200 more. You’ll just miss chance to save money.

Excellent Table SawI am a Hobbyist and I enjoy building many projects. I tend to over buy when it comes to tools and was concerned that the Skil saw would not measure up. But I am pleased to it has performed extremely well. I have noticed no performance issues, or struggle cutting any type of wood I have used. So I would recommend this saw to anyone.

Great Portable Table SawPerfect for our project at the river cabin. We are trimming cabinets, windows and doors at our cabin in a remote location and this saw was perfect for the job. Lightweight, durable and works very well.

Sticking with THE brand SKIL[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic buy, I am upgrading from an OLD SKIL model 3400 type1 which was great and lasted years but this saw sure blows it out of the water. Once you go rack and pinion you won’t go back, max rip capacity is about 25″, easily replicatable zero clearance plate, adjustable measurement needle, blade parallel adjustment, dust collection which collects about 85% of chips from open cuts and nearly 99% from plywood. Only con is a dado blade insert was not included, nor a zero clearance, and only 1out of 4 foot is adjustable for level? Not a deal breaker best 299 I ever spent. This is a fantastic saw, noise compared to original saw is still about 88% (meaning you need ear protection) I love it

Failed on the third cut. This saw has more useful features than any other saw in its price range. The fence system is probably my favorite feature. The first two cuts I made on it were amazing. Unfortunately, on the third cut the motor threw a few sparks out and quit working. I already replaced the table saw with a much more expensive saw to keep my projects rolling while I warranty this one out.

Wrenches missing-Customer Service is lackingPlenty to like about the saw, except no wrenches. I called Skil Customer Service thinking I must be looking in the wrong place. On the contrary, they were not shipped with the saw. Lo and behold they have one wrench to send, but not the other. In Conclusion, they are shipping the saws without wrenches because they don’t have them. I do consider it a bit petty, but it’s like getting a set of sockets with one missing. You buy the set to have the complete set. Shoddy dealings with consumers or contractors will not bode well for investors. I got no apology, no offer to make it right, just apathy. It’s contagious because I am now apathetic about Skil products and customer service. Goodbye.
